Domain Name Dispute Resolution
By Kum Martin
According to the National Arbitration Forum, or the NAF, more and more people are trying to make money out of the typing errors that people make when typing names of well known websites. It is quite common to see letters being inverted or additional letters being added when people type. For instance, when trying to access google.com, some people may end up typing goggle.com.
Strange as it may sound, but it is quite possible to register domain names that are misspelled names of well known websites. There sites are known as cybersquatters. In fact, cybersquatting is a money spinning business as many advertisers flock to these misspelled websites to get their ads seen as they know that these sites will attract large traffic. In other words, cybersquatters take advantage of people misspelling popular websites in order to make large amounts of money through advertising.
